Tournament Information and Format

THE FORMAT:  This is an INDIVIDUAL TOURNAMENT. At the Thursday night’s Grand Pupa Party at the Villas of Grand Cypress there will be a blind draw for partners, divided between “A players” and “B Players” and for tee-times. The Tournament is over 54 holes in 3 days and fully handicapped.

 

How does it work?

 

You take your team score from your first day and add it to your team score from your second day and this becomes your total combined two day individual score going into your final round. The lowest-accumulated individual score for 3 days will be crowned the Grand Pupa.

 

Day 1: Four man scramble (Add all handicaps and divide by 4)  (NEW FORMAT)

Day 2: Two man best ball (100% of handicap)

Day 3: Individual medal play, add them all up. (100% of handicap) –A maximum  score of 10 on any one hole including par 5’s and par 3’s

Tee Times and Courses:

Check in at the pro shop no later than 7:15 a.m. Friday morning. Tee times on Saturday and Sunday are based on the drawing of partners. Tee times will be posted at the hospitality suite

 

The Rules:

USGA rules apply. In case of a tie there will be sudden death play off. Putt them all out.

 

The Field:

64 players

 

Afternoon Rounds:

Make your own games and based on tee time availability.  North/South Competition - Tampa vs. Jacksonville (more details to follow).

 

Room Check-in:

Check in your luggage at the bell stand at the Villas of Grand Cypress when you arrive. The Bellman will deliver your luggage to your room while you are golfing. There will be 8 players to a villa and 2 players to a room.

 

Scorecards:

Please turn in your score card at the hospitality suite or to a staff member after your round.  Remember to sign and date your card.
